Or alternately titled: If You Really Knew Me...
...sorry, had to jump on the bandwagon.
...sorry, had to jump on the bandwagon.
If you really knew me, you'd know...
...that I wasn't holding out in order to be cool, it just took me 34 1/2 months to think of a long enough list to post.
...that I love to sing. And I can actually carry a tune, not very well, but well enough.
...I have to set my alarm on even & random times, i.e. 5:24 pm. I don't know why, so don't ask.
...that for most of my adult life, I was 75 lbs heavier than I am now.
...I am super sensitive and get my feelings hurt too easily and too often.
...and I most likely won't say anything if you're the one to hurt them.
...I look just like both of my parents and act just like my mom, already.
...I can quote every line to any given episode of FRIENDS. It's an obsession.
...I really love giving shots. And drawing blood. Yep, totally a nurse at heart.
...I carry Crystal Light packets in my purse at.all.times. (You never know when water may need a little sprucing up...or vodka...)
...If I'm short and quiet in a text message, I'm either mad or upset. And passive aggressive.
...I pile too many obligations on my plate at one time. I just can't say no. Ever.
...I love reading OOTD posts but would never post them myself. Mainly because I can't put pieces of clothing together to save my life (thank the Lord for dresses.)
...I really want to own a bakery. Or a cupcakery. I love to bake!
...I love to have a good time. I love laughing and I thrive on having people around me all the time.
If you really knew me, you'd know...
...that I listen to KLove 99% of the time.
...that I'm a bit insecure. Must come from the years of being overweight, but still to this day, I am shocked when anyone finds me attractive. Or calls me thin. Who me?!
...that I believe a glass of wine and a long talk with a best friend is better than any therapy
...that I cannot handle twangy country music with lyrics involving, but not limited to, beer, drinking, big butts, trucks, and/or redneck women. Can't.handle.it.
...the only plastic surgery I'd ever get is a boob lift. Yep, this 24-year-old has saggy, old lady boobs. Don't believe me? Ask Faye. She'll tell you the truth.
...I love Celine Dion. No, really...by love, I mean I am obsessed with her.
...that I want to be the next version of Jon and Kate plus 8 (minus the divorce and the crazy, duh.) Too bad no numbers rhyme with Rachel or Andrew (other than 2...and that's not enough...and 22 is just a few too many. I didn't say I wanted to be the Duggar's.)
...than more often than not, I'd rather watch a football or baseball game than go shopping
...that I wish I could be a professional traveler. Why hasn't the Travel Channel hooked me up with a job yet? I could just go to cities and explore and then share the best spots/restaurants/shops for a twenty-something crowd. Show in the making?!
...I get really uncomfortable with any kind of controversy. I don't confront people and I let people walk all over me, most of the time.
...I worry as if it's my second job. I'm working on that issue, but that's just how I am. Just call me overly dedicated.
...I really love my boyfriend. I think he's the best thing since sliced bread. And I like bread.
...birthdays are my favorite. I love to celebrate! Maybe it's because birthdays involve cake...
Just a little glimpse into the real Rachel, because I know you were just dying to know.
Happy Tuesday, chicks.
Let's go out there and make it a great day--and let's hurry it up, weekend. SEC football starts on SATURDAY! Hotty Toddy!

I want to be a professional traveller too! It is my favorite thing to do. Only if I could land the job with unlimited time off and great pay... Ha!
You are too cute. Love these posts. And I'm right there with you on the wine therapy and boobie lift. No, really. I'm getting that one day for sure.
Hope you're having a great week... And just think, we're only a few days from kickoff!! Hotty Toddy!!
Ah! The clock... My morning alarm is always set at 7:44. Hate those odd numbers.
Also, I've been waiting for Travel Channel to contact me for years. Samantha Brown, that bia, needs to give me her job already. She's been in that job long enough! Sharing is caring.
Don't feel bad I still have an if you knew me draft going... I'll finish one day!I do love reading these though, and find out I have lots in common with so many other bloggers. (anxiety much, right here).
I love this post! Only further proof that we should basically be BFF (except for the whole drawing blood part. it makes me faint). We should be wine-drinking, worrying, mega travelers together. :)
Have a great day, sweetie!
I happen to think that all of your outfits are cute and well put together so that means you are doing a good job! :) Also, I think you are thin and gorgeous and you already know I look up to you! One day I will come visit and we can go shopping and workout haha. Love this post doll!
I set my alarm for random odd times. 6.23 is my normal wake up time!
You are adorable and so stinking fun... which is why we're besties! ;)
Everything in this post really is so true! Mine is still in my drafts. I need you to help me think of more things!
Love you!
Haha! I have been wanting to do one of these, as well.. but I can't come up with enough things to list. I am more a Q & A gal!
We are pretty much twinsies... except for the country music part... I love ridiculous country music about country things. I hate "country" music that's not about country things and could be another genre... Ex. Taylor Swift. The Band Perry. PET PEEVE
Can we spectate a sporting event together soon... with beer..?
I had to laugh at the alarm thing. so random!
I'm with you on the Friends obsession. I've yet to ever lose a game on Friends trivia. no one will play with me anymore!
and i'd also get a boob job. i love my kid, but man, she destroyed my poor boobs!!
love the vodka comment....and totally agree!
I love these posts! When the travel channel comes calling, hook a sister up, ok?!
You are just too funny :) I'm such a worrier too.. So I understand. My mom called me a worry wart growing up :) its like my second nature to worry!
I've never seen an episode of Friends.. I should get on that!
& the cupcakery.. Will you make some gluten free, too?! I'll buy from you ;)
Love ya, pretty girl!
Love giving shots .... totally sounded like you are the life of the party serving people liquor, but then I read and learned a needle!!
Adore this post, love. I've got a new outfit post inspired by one of my favorite TV characters. I'd love to hear your thoughts. xo

So enjoyed this and feel that I know you a little bit better. What a fun, fun post! You are just like a breathe of fresh air my dear!
Newest follower here! I love your blog so far. I'm entering my fourth year of nursing school and I love reading about other nurses! Can't wait to read more :)
Oh and I'm also attempting to lose about 80 pounds as well so I'm excited to read more about your journey!
OH! I like this! Now I know you so well!!! PS my husband and I are huge KLOVE fans - we don't pick it up where we live but we have a station similar! AND I like OOTD Pictures too - I could stalk them all day long but I am semi-embarassed to do them...
just found your blog today - new follower here!! :) That is a huge accomplishment loosing that much weight!! Also - I love the crystal light with vodka tidbit - THE BEST is the pink lemonade one with some soda water and vodka = THE BOMB! :)
- Pam
I like that dress! That color is amazing! I just came across your blog and am a new follower! =)
Dear Rachel,
I listen to klove and air1. I love traveling and have been to australia, Egypt, Greece, Bahamas, Jamaica, and soon st. Lucia (leaving Saturday.) I also enjoy cliche blog posts. I can be very cheesy.
I got it: "Rachel & Andrew + 4 times 2."
I would love to be a professional traveller and then write about it. I think that's honestly my dream job but I wouldn't have the least idea how to go about getting it!
Who wouldn't like birthdays? Professional traveler would be an awesome job, and I tend to steer far, far away from controversy too. And don't worry, you're not the last one to jump on this 'if you really knew me' bandwagon...I haven't done it yet but I'm pretty sure that I'll give in soon. :P
Seriously I heart you! Your list was so much better than mine! ha. I should have waited a few more months and mayyybe I would have thought of a few more. :)
