It's Monday, so here I am with a little weekend updating, I know you're shocked, right? This weekend was all wedding themed...another wedding shower, a bachelorette party, and an engagement party. I'm becoming a pro! I've gotta be quick because I must be a good citizen of Oxford and go to jury duty this morning...I am just SOOO excited to be going on my ONE DAY OFF. (Can you sense my sarcasm?)
Whew, this weekend was fun. Every weekend from here until the middle of March (and then it picks up again in April...) is covered up with wedding shenanigans, so just prepare yourself for what's to come. It's gonna be an entertaining journey, promise.
I was off Friday and Saturday, and when I say every minute was planned out, every.single.minute was taken up. At least they were fun days, even though they were busy. I am just loving all of the wedding showers, engagement parties, etc we have going on!
Friday night was my sweet, precious friend Kelsie's bachelorette party. Kelsie and I have been best friends since before we could even speak to each other...almost a quarter of a century. Geez. She's more like my sister than anything, so I've loved getting to shower her with love and celebrations during this time! We went to Lusco's in Greenwood then had a party bus to take us out! We had SUCH a good time!
I jumped up Saturday morning and ran home to shower and get ready to head to Jackson for my sister's wedding shower with her fiancé's side of the family and their Jackson friends. Y'all, I'm the worst photographer in the world--Friday night, I didn't have a memory card in it. Saturday, I actually remembered a memory card but the battery was dead. Thank goodness for the iPhone! Katie got such gorgeous things from them...I am just in love with all of the things on her registry! SO fun!
We mingled for a while, packed up all of her new, pretty things, and hightailed it back to Greenwood just in time for Kelsie and Martin's engagement party that night! I was pretty impressed with myself...I'm fairly certain I wore high heels for basically 24 hours straight. The engagement party was a hit...the Country Club was packed and everyone had a great time! There's nothing I love more than some celebrating (especially when it involves champagne!)
What a weekend! I drove back to Oxford yesterday morning to be at work at 7am, so this chick right here is a bit exhausted. Let's hope they don't make me stay in jury duty for long, because I'll be the juror in the corner snoozing. Here's to another week's beginning--let's make this one a good one :)
Happy Monday!
(Oh, I'm linking up with my love, Sami, for Weekend Update, because she's my favorite.)
